Given the amount of fiscal tap-dancing by the president and his advisers these days, instead of bringing back former campaign manager David Plouffe, maybe they should have chosen someone like Fred Astaire or Bill "Bojangles" Robinson.

The Democrats' political vacillation is laughable - but the joke is on us taxpayers. In December, the Senate passed a spending bill that on average increased spending for a wide spectrum of federal departments and agencies by 10 percent to 12...

Most of us Americans have a deep and abiding respect and admiration for our country's fighting men who have served--and are serving--within the US Armed Forces. We appreciate their willingness to put themselves in harm's way for the preservation of our nation's liberty and independence. We honor their sacrifice. Indeed, many of us share that sacrifice with the deaths, dismemberments, and paralysis of our most cherished loved ones who were killed or injured in the line of duty.

It is...

On January 19, 2010, Republican Scott Brown was duly elected by the people of Massachusetts as their new Senator. He was to fill a seat held by Teddy Kennedy (D) for nearly fifty years, a seat currently held by temporary appointee Paul Kirk (D).

According to the US Constitution and Massachusetts law, Brown should have been sworn in immediately following election night and assumed the responsibilities of the office the following morning.

Media camera’s followed Brown...

Where to start? After a Sate-of-the-Union speech ranking among the longest in the last 45 years what was said? Stay the course in other words. Blame Bush, the banks, and Congress for any failures while taking credit for any success, scold the Supreme Court and lecture the rest of us. If we aren’t smart enough to understand his brilliant plans he’ll just have to lecture us again. He’s getting so repetitious I’m looking for my Headon so I can apply it directly to where it hurts.

The first major effort to bring Tea Party, 912 and town hall folks together at a convention in Nashville, Tenn. has devolved into a messy situation which threatens the image of the patriot movement overall.

If a male member of Congress said they could get more done if women and other assorted minorities were sent home since these tend to be the demographics that tend to think the government owes them a living even if they could provide it for themselves, we'd never hear the end of it.

If Leftists are going to constantly make a hullabaloo over the propagation of stereotypes, one of the inferences of Rep. Carol Shea-Porter must be addressed.

In her remarks she insinuates...

Earlier this month the American Southeastern states suffered one of the worst frosts in recent years. Blasts of arctic air brought prolonged record-breaking low temperatures. In Florida tropical fish froze in their hatcheries, and citrus, strawberries, tomatoes, beans and other crops were damaged. More sub-freezing temperatures are expected in much of the Southeast this weekend. In anticipation of compromised supplies, prices for many affected fruits and vegetables have already shot up.

In Patrick Henry's immortal "Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death" speech, he said, "[I]t is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth." Never have Henry's words been truer than they are today. For too long, good men have turned a blind eye to the obvious reality that America's Ship of State has swerved significantly off course. In fact, it is no hyperbole to say that America's Ship of State is completely rudderless and,...

In his article, “How to Argue with (Guilty) Liberals,” Carey Roberts wrote, “Like a demanding and ill-mannered child, liberals are used to getting their way. In recent times, America has been experiencing an explosion of neo-pagan movements in concert with a relentless assault on truth, reality, first principles, universal moral law, and the created order of being---the two sexes (male and female) for example. These movements interface with mystical, quasi-Buddhist,...

For over eighty-five years, America has been incrementally conquered by the same madness-inducing demon of hatred and violence that earlier took over Russia, China, Germany, and Italy.
